I wanted to provide an update on Deadhaus to the general community, as we have not done so for a while. We hope The Chronicles of the Grand Inquisitor helps to fill some of the time we have been silent. Let us start with the status of Season 3's Chronicles and their wrap-up. There are three episodes left:
The Prophecies - our biggest lore dump to date (July 16th, 2025)
The Herald - over 10 voice actors with a large number of character roles (Aug 13th, 2025)
The House Built on Hatred's Back - Season 3's conclusion (Sept 17th, 2025)
Season three will finish in September with "The House Built on Hatred's Back," and we do not plan to start a fourth season until after the game's upcoming launch. We plan to continue the radio plays for the lifetime of the game (hopefully a very long time). Stay tuned for announcements in this area.
We created this massive amount of lore (over 13 hours with professional voice actors) because it matters for the game. We have taken a holistic approach, where you cannot separate the magick system, the story, world-building, or the game design, and they are all woven together to become more than the sum of their parts. We have done our best to meticulously plan an experience in Deadhaus Sonata that gamers will never forget. The background lore from this series helps set the foundation for the grim dark fantasy world of Deadhaus Sonata. The Chronicles of the Grand Inquisitor stands on its own, but there are meta connections to the game that go beyond anything we have created before. We are excited to see the reaction players have in this area.
After The Prophecies is released, we plan to reveal the Octahedron design to the community, as this forms the foundation for the game's design and magick system, allowing players to develop strategies and customize Tarot Skills and other RPG systems. @Varik Keldun has led the way in reverse engineering this system for the community, and we are amazed that he could accomplish this with the limited information we provided in our scribblings! It took us a significant amount of time to develop, and we had all the necessary information at our fingertips. Well done!
Some members of the community are playing the latest builds of the game and providing us with incredible feedback and insight. We are happy with our progress thus far and are setting our sights on release in the game. We are happy to say that we have some systems in Deadhaus Sonata that we have not seen in any game before and are excited to see the reaction once everyone can get their hands on the game.
Stay tuned for more upcoming announcements as we progress!
