What was your game of the year?

For myself, I’m not breaking any molds here. Gameplay wise it’s Elden Ring. Story wise it’s God of War Ragnarok.

I loved Elden Ring! Probably my favorite too.

I didn't buy it, but If if you ask me the GOAT of 2022 would be Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Baldur's Gate 3 but I also loved Alan Wake 2.

Kirby was great.

 

I'm going to be strange and say Valis Fantasm Soldier Collection for 2024 even though it came out in 2021. It's the most memorable recent game for me. I only played Valis I from it but that was enough.

 

I haven't gotten into a big AAA game since Final Fantasy XV last decade (better than FFXIV IMO) and Warcraft's Legion expansion. The 2020's could use more spice IMO.
